Cooling towers ready for installation in central Wellington.

These towers, each with a capacity of 1420 kW of cooling, are replacing two old cross-flow wooden towers. The new towers are induced draft type with a square footprint, so it was tricky to get the right size of unit to fit into the available footprint.

The location is a significant address in central Wellington with high-quality tenants in the building, including a government agency, a well-known law firm and two country embassies. The building is 21 stories high, so the installation lift was significant and required closing off part of the road for much of one Saturday.
